About Rogers Park
Rogers Park, or East Rogers Park neighborhood is the
northernmost community in Chicago, Illinois, USA, adjacent to Howard Street
and the City of Evanston to the north, Ridge Boulevard to the west, Lake
Michigan to the east, and Devon Avenue to the south. Rogers Park location on
the lakeshore campus of Loyola University Chicago and its famous Madonna
Della Strada, Jesuit's Chapel Church of the Chicago community.
Rogers Park continued to see massive changes in the demographic of the
twenty-first century. In 2000, the census data showed that it is one of the
most diverse American communities throughout the country, with a strong mix
of ethnic backgrounds, languages, age diversity and a wide range of family
incomes. Rogers Park contains a number of prayer houses of different
religions and denominations.
Rogers Park is currently fighting against gentrification. The population is
divided on. Elected officials, as well as Loyola University favor
gentrification. Opposition to the gentrification, some local residents and
