About North Center

North Community Center is located in the area and the neighborhood north of Chicago, Illinois. North-Center and bounded north by Montrose Avenue on the south by Diversey Parkway, on the west side of Chicago River and east of Ravenswood Avenue. Chicago Brown Line El stops at Addison, Irving Park and Montrose. North-Center was settled in the last part of the 19th as well as at the beginning of the 20th century century largely by Germans, who worked in the industrial corridor along Ravenswood Avenue, and the large industrial plants along the river west of Chicago. Recently, skyrocketing real estate value and gentrification threatens to industrial and manufacturing contingent along the Chicago River as residents are seeking valuable riverfront property. The gentry of North Center is mainly German, Spanish, Irish, Polish, Swedish, Russian, Romanian, and Asia.

Roscoe Village refers to the North Side neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois. Although not included in any official city map, Chicago residents perceive the boundaries of the neighborhood to be Addison Avenue, Belmont Avenue, Western Avenue, and Ravenswood Avenue. The primary feature of Roscoe Village is Roscoe Avenue, which bisects the neighborhood boundaries between Addison Avenue and Belmont Avenue. Roscoe Avenue has a lot of businesses and residents. Local historian and longtime neighborhood resident in Chuck Hadley notes that people have been living in Roscoe Village from 18 century, when the area was inhabited by the Fox Indians. Currently, the area is home to over 6,200 residents.

Saint Ben's is a neighborhood in the North side of Chicago. Saint Ben's informal boundaries of the north is 4400 N (Montrose Avenue), on the south of 3600 N (Addison Street), west of the Chicago River and east of Ravenswood Avenue. Saint Ben's namesake comes from Saint Benedict's Parish, a Catholic school Leavitt Street.
