About Aurora
Aurora is the largest city of Kane County, Illinois. City is located in
Dupage, Will and Kendall counties. As reported in 2000 U.S. census, the city
was home to 142,990 people, while the city has an estimated 2007 population
of 175,952. About 110,000 city residents live in the Kane County, while
about 42,000 live in Dupage County. Only a few thousand Aurorans have the

Regions Aurora
Aurora is generally divided into three regions, although the city is divided
into a number of political parties.
* West side of all of Aurora, west of the Fox River
* East of the city east of the river except Dupage County.
* Fox Valley, also known as the Far East Side Dupage County is part of the
city. This type is a misnomer due to the fact that this region is not the
fox. In fact, some components depend on the watershed, instead of Dupage,
Fox watershed. This is actually a nickname, such as due to the proximity of
the area of Fox Valley Mall, one of the first housing developments to be
constructed with the Aurora Mall in the "Fox Valley Villages".
Transportation

some dating the 1870's. This neighborhood has a lot of densly populated than
any other part of the city. This neighborhood has increased the crime rate
as well as a number of vacant buildings.
* Near West Side: The residential neighborhood is expensive, parents are
generally well-maintained home.
* Pigeon Hill (East Side): The neighborhood where once a flock, and in
particular Romania immagrents late 1800's. This neighborhood is generally
smaller homes and is situated around the High Street just east of the Fox
River.

* Riddle Highlands: West Side office, off of Lake Street and Illinois Ave.
This is a very charming part of the city of large, older homes dating as
early as 1900. Mature trees line the streets and the lawns are well
manicured.

* Downtown: Historic downtown is the heart of Aurora and is home to a number
of major historic buildings dating as early as 1900. Downtown is located 3
miles south of Interstate 88th A large part of downtown Aurora was developed
in late 1800 and houses several pieces of impressive architecture. Downtown
Aurora began in the late 1970's has declined, but late in several new home
developments, including the River Street Plaza Condo development and Downer
Place Lofts. Many new companies are open to progress, with the Hollywood
Casino. A major hotel and high-rise Condos are planned east of the eastern
bank in the city center. Today, many areas still remain free from just
outside the city center because of the industrial recession of the 1980's.
Downtown Aurora is home to the famous Leland Hotel, a 22 story building was
built in 1921, the house of the Sky Club, a former Blues recording studio.

* Stonebridge is the most wealthy area of Aurora. Its located along the
Indian Trail and Eola Rd Rd Far East Side of town. It is also one of the new
parts of the city. As home to well over a million dollars, the average
household income for residents is $ 112,800 and average household net worth
of $ 165,112.00. The Stonebridge area is also home to the Stonebridge golf

* Orchard Valley
During the 20th century, was the "Dutchtown" neighborhood of German
immigrants, the French immigrants, a neighborhood south of downtown and the
